So I used my favorite, trusty cornbread recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Buttery-Corn-Bread/Detail.aspx
There were too many dirty dishes around the kitchen, so I melted the butter in my mixing bowl.
Add sugar and eggs.
Milk. This is probably 2%, but it doesn't matter much for this recipe.
Stir well.
Add flour and cornmeal. Duck down to pick something off the floor while someone takes photos for you.
Once this is all mixed, scrape it all out into a buttered or sprayed 9x13 baking dish.
Looks delicious already! If you're disgusting (like me), lick the spoon. If you're afraid of salmonella, don't.
Bake this at 350 degrees until it's done.
I'm failing today because I don't have a picture of this finished cornbread. Also, because I don't make any modifications to the original, I'm going to give all due credit and tell you to go here for the recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Buttery-Corn-Bread/Detail.aspx
Just please, please, please do me a favor: don't buy cornbread mix anymore. I know Jiffy is cheap, but this is no more expensive and I swear it tastes better. I found this out when I wanted cornbread once and didn't have mix. Now I refuse to buy pancake, cake or brownie mix, either.
Yes, it's okay if you roll your eyes and call me a weirdo now.
But only if you make this cornbread!
