Quick and Easy Oatmeal Marmalade Bars

These bars are great for busy folks and those of us with kids! They are quick, easy and even kids can help make them! My kids LOVE these and you can always substitute ingredients to tailor make the flavors you crave most!

You will need:
• 4 cups quick-cooking oats
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts
• 1 cup flaked coconut
• 3/4 cup butter, melted
• 3/4 cup orange marmalade

Directions:
• In a large bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients. Press into a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 425° for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.

Yield: about 2 1/2 dozen

Changing the flavor of the marmalade or using different types of nuts give this recipe countless variations! I wrap the bars individually in plastic wrap for on-the-go snacking. ENJOY!

These sound delicious! Next time I make granola bars, I'm going to try your recipe and use strawberry preserves. I already have some in my pantry and I'm not a huge orange fan.
