Tasty Brownies Tinged with Sadness

This was a sad, sad day. How sad? It drove me to drink. Sort of.

My beloved Pyrex heat-resistant spatula bit the dust. Well, it broke in half anyway. Maybe I was already drinking a beer while baking, but I truly was distraught.

Some people would just use the little broken-off spatula bit. I contend that it's too small.

These brownies, however? Delicious!

I didn't *love* them, but with a little help they were all gone in 24 hours. Not too shabby.

I knew I'd be taking these to work, but I always want to try them right away. So rather than take brownies that had already been cut into and look like I dork, I split the recipe between a 9x9 pan and a bread pan instead of the recommended 9x13. This worked quite well.

I didn't modify the original recipe at all, so please check it out here: Ooey-Gooey Peanut Butter-Chocolate Brownies

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your PHR-spatuala. (but it was lost for a very good cause...brownies!)
