This recipe isn't particularly innovative or fantastical, but the blend of whole grains and vegetables has made for nice lunches and pre-practice dinners lately.
Wheat Pasta with Broccoli
1 box whole-wheat rotini
2 small heads broccoli, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
salt to taste
1. Cook pasta to desired firmness. Throw in the broccoli at the last minute. Drain all.
2. Return to pan and toss with all other ingredients.
3. Serve with a little extra Parmesan on top.
